connected - sketch

Connected by the red string of fate - well, in a different way.

I PROMISE this is gonna be completely finished someday. It will just take a really long time since I'm gonna do a background for it. You can have this sketch, I'll put this in the scraps when the final version is out.

I feel such an idiot for saying countless times that I don't really have inspiration to draw any HA! fan art right now... But then completely out of nowhere Nick announces they are now making a movie, so of course I got excited. Although, I may not draw anymore of these until the New Year. But I'm not sure about anything right now.

Just a a little thing to say because I found something confusing from Tumblr. Now this is not any kind of Helga rant or anything, I just have a little trouble with some terms.

There was a conversation whether or not she was out of character in the April Fools episode because she acted a kinda sadistic towards Arnold and it wasn't doing out of feelings of love for him. Now there was an answer that she definitely went too far, and also said: "but you have to remember this is Helga G. Pataki. She is a bit sadistic, simply in her nature. Plus she felt that Arnold had betrayed her trust by pulling that blinding box prank on her." Now I kinda agree with the latter that Helga was really disappointed with him for doing that for her since she loves him so much, but I have a little problem with the statement "she's a bit sadistic simply in her nature"? Then again, she did state "maybe I should stop torturing him...nah, this is way too much fun", so she clearly somewhat enjoyed pulling pranks on him. Of course her pranks can go way too far sometimes, but I don't think she enjoys it that much, I mean, she never actually wants to kill anyone or anything like that. And she is still  a child.

To sum my problem here:
I get that Helga was not raised right and wasn't taught how be a good person, but if she's "a bit sadistic simply in her nature", then I'm kinda confused. This might be because English is not my first language and I don't really understand what they are trying to say. Could somebody help me to understand this?

But when she grows up she will get rid of that thing in her, right?
